Sweet Christmas, even though nearly every other superhero film is predominantly white, there are a bunch of dumbasses complaining that Luke Cage lacks diversity. I guess they thought Frank Whaley as Detective Rafael Scarfe, Justin Swain as Bailey,  Michael Kostroff as Dr. Noah Burstein, P.J. Marshall as ESU Lieutenant Mario Green, Lee R. Sellars Sergeant Jacob ‘Jake’ Smith, Corri English as Alicia, Chance Kelly as Albert Packham, Rachael Taylor as Trish Walker and about ten more actors were all black. Not to mention Theo Rossi who is Italian playing a puerto rican role Hernan “Shades” Alvarez, but please white people continue your Luke Cage lack diversity rants. These assholes probably didn’t even watch the show, which was extremely great by the way, I loved every episode. They probably don’t know who Luke Cage is, the Power Man, the once Hero for Hire, the leader of the Avengers. Sorry you people were expected Handcock, this is the story of a real black superhero.

Marvel’s latest show may be its blackest, from its hero and villains to the supporting characters and soundtrack. Which it should be since their focusing on a black superhero in New York City’s Harlem, a historically black community (some people are simple jack asses). Did you know that in the Avengers movie, there is Samuel Jackson as Nick Fury and oh yeah Damion Poitier as Man #1 and maybe two other black actors. Other than that it’s an all white cast despite the fact they are in New York, but hey that doesn’t lack diversity and isn’t racist.

Here are some of the Twatters I mean Twitter users who had qualms. One person actually noted the characters are mostly black and asked the tone-deaf question, “Where is the diversity?”

Lack of white people in Luke Cage makes me uncomfortable. This show is racist, how is this on Netflix?? 77 likes

I believe the only people who have a right to complain about superhero movies or shows, are Asians and Hispanics. Where the hell are , our superheroes, black people have Nick Fury, Black Panther, Luke Cage, Falcon, War Machine and Misty Knight so far; and of course the others are all white. I think Netflix will solve these issues; since there are prominent asian and hispanic heroes as well as villains, that can be introduced through the character’s stories that will comprise the Defenders team, especially Luke Cage. I appreciate Luke Cage because I know his series and future series will bring black and latinos into the spotlight in this superhero genre. I also praise Daredevil and even Iron Fist, because I know these series will introduce more and more asian characters. I just read that , the best pound for pound fighter in the Marvel Universe, will be featured in IronFist.

For all those who decided to tweet that dumb shit, a recent study of the top 100 grossing films of 2015 found that almost 74 % of characters with speaking roles were white. Out of those 100 films, there were only 14 that had a person of color as a star or co-star. So all those people that complained about Luke Cage, do us all a favor and shut the hell up. Please, watch as a human and not as a person. I implore you to ignore the color of a human beings’s skin. Watch this series and enjoy the creativity and consistency of storytelling essentials.

Sweet Christmas Luke Cage is awesome!!!!! Watch how he breaks Suge Knight’s hand…with his face.
